Creating vibrancy on their busy schoolground was the goal of these Grade 4 students, along with artist Roda Medhat. They wanted lots of colour, fantastic shapes, and to go high!

 This beautiful artistic creation was installed to spark joy and welcome everyone to their school. Students worked with artist Gosia Komorski, and were inspired by natural materials such as leaves, shells and feathers

 Students, artists Janet Hinkle and Safna Sahileen, and community seamstresses designed and sewed beautiful cushions for their school library. They will be used by the whole school during library time.

Food brings people together - as does art! Grade 7 & 8 students and artist Leah Gold created a hand printed art book that will be used in their library and classrooms for years to come.

Students created a vibrant installation of 140 garden mosaic tiles displayed right at the front of their school. Artist Elena Martoglio taught them to grout, cut tile pieces and work creatively together.

 Huron Street Junior Public School students collaborated with artist Gosia Komorksi to create a vibrant mural. Students were inspired by a hidden river and the rich community of plants and animals that surround them.

 Students at Annette Street and High Park Alternative School worked with artist Bareket Kezwer to create a school mural for their library, exploring the meaning of ‘community and connection’’.

  Young Changemakers: Koffler Arts Studio Program is an arts based project building children’s confidence, emotional wellbeing and community connections. This three year program involved a team of collaborators, including artists, educators, evaluation specialists and volunteers.

  Inspired by nature in their school grounds, students created beautiful prints with artist Leah Gold, which were transferred onto wooden fence  art, resulting in a vibrant array of colours and shapes.

  Students collaborated with artist Roda Medhat to explore storytelling through textiles, weaving patterns onto tree cages to transform their schoolyard and highlight their connection to nature and the trees

 Students explored local bird species, migration patterns and how to prevent window collisions. With artist Janet Hinkle, they created a series of window art installations to protect birds and raise awareness.

 Students co-designed a collection of plaster garden stones with D+S Projects. They imprinted objects that sparked joyful memories into clay molds, then creating small tiles which were laid together in the school courtyard.

 In celebration of diversity and inclusion at Inglewood PS, students in Grade 5 and 6 worked with artist Leah Gold to co-design this art installation welcoming everyone who visits their school.

 “I am so proud of this group of girls and what we have accomplished together!” shared a student from the Young Women on the Move program. Participants helped create a vibrant mural in collaboration with artist Wandy Cheng.

 Artist Kseniya Tsoy worked with students to create an engaging art installation for their front entrance to their school. Their artwork welcomed families to the school in a playful, child friendly way.

  Students worked with Artist Roda Medhat to weave, paint and collage their way to the creation of a beautiful hanging textile installation in their school library - seen by close to 1500 students every year!
